I am happy to report that my own personal health, which has been my goal since August 2006, is great! I enjoy the good fortune of having clear sinus passages, most of the year, and knowing how to maintain them. I am headache free, and have some interesting solutions derived from both western medicine and new alternative therapies. I wish the same great health for each one of you, and am happy to share my findings about sinus + migraines + allergy headaches + 50’s stuff + calcium intake. For those of you who have known me since the early 80’s, when I first started teaching Jazzerobics classes and doing in-home personal training, you know that my life would not be complete unless I had a class to teach to someone, somewhere! (Once a dancer, always a dancer!) Well, this October, it has been my extreme pleasure to once again teach classes, and this time to seniors! I tell you all this because the benefit derived from being in a group exercise class with women far exceeds any one of the exercises or actual steps that we perform. It is the camaraderie that grows from being in a group setting that is so wonderful. In addition, we make new friends in fitness. So, this is a reminder to anyone who may have strayed from the exercise habit in either a group setting, or one-on-one, to go out and find a class to join in January, and enjoy all the benefits that a group exercise class has to offer. In January, there will be numerous choices in various venues, and at very affordable prices. Check out your local Community College, or Neighborhood Center. Sometimes churches have programs and planned communities, too. Ask about New Year’s specials-There are many of these this year. After you have signed up for a class, or something related to your fitness life, write to me and tell me what you have done. I love to hear what people are doing, and I love staying connected to you via this newsletter. Lastly, be on the lookout for new photos, and new specials with my DVD, and Intuitive Eating Teleseminars. In the summer, I will be offering an online Intuitive Eating course for Anne Arundel Community College. Stay tuned for more details about this.
Happy & healthy holidays all year,

Quick Test For Setting Goals, 2009 Even though you may be busy, give yourself permission to read and answer the following three questions for your own personal health and fitness for 2009: You can even print out the page, and fill in later, if you cannot take the time now. #1: Reflecting upon your health and fitness goals for 2008, which ones have you accomplished? Congratulate yourself for following through on those goals, and then take a look at the ones you did not accomplish. #2. Decide what goals to keep and what goals to delete based upon the following question: What will your life be like in 6 months if you accomplish these goals? How will you feel and look? Then write down two or maybe three goals for your own health and fitness in 2009. #3. Ask yourself the following question, and write down the answer: What will your life be like if you do NOT accomplish these goals in 2009? Write down your answers.
