KARMA YOGA

I’m starting out this ezine with a liver detox drink.

Juice from 2 oranges
1 cup water
½ tsp organic chlorophyll
Stir and drink

It’s an anger detox. The liver is the organ that governs anger. When we detox the liver the emotions anger & irritability get cleansed as well. And to be honest I’m feeling really angry in the moment.

I’m in an (internal) argument with one of my neighbors. I’m finding it really hard to give my heart again. Instead I feel rage, anger and upset. Perhaps my liver needs some detoxing? (Good thing the cleanse is coming up in 2 weeks!)

I want to be heard, she wants to be heard. It’s actually painful. I really love her and want to be close but the conflict is feeling bigger than the heart at the moment.

What would it take to let go? What would it take to give? To leave my stories at the door, drop the anger, heal the past, open the heart.

The act of giving is not always easy. It might take something selfless. A surrender.

One of my dear friends and Fruition client, Cami Walker , is starting a new movement called the 29-DAY GIVING CHALLENGE.

She created the 29-Day Giving Challenge to inspire more generosity on our planet. She says to see the world change, we have to do something to change the world. Hey I think Gandhi said that too!

She also says the best way to attract abundance into your life is to be in a perpetual state of giving and gratitude.

At this point if I could just give my neighbor a friendly smile that would feel really adundant. I’d actually have to dive deep inside and open myself to let that smile out. As a result I’m sure that I would receive something. At the very least I would feel less suffering in my own body. As Eckert Tolle says the pain body is activated. He’s right yet I can tell I want to lighten the load and be generous.

And no wonder it’s confusing. The world is constantly telling us that in order to feel the joy and abundance we “should” be better at what we do, market ourselves, make more money, etc…

I think Cami (and Gandhi) are right. It’s about giving, selflessly. The yogi’s call it Karma Yoga. A simple smile and I will feel peaceful. I already know that. Now I just have to do it.

Cami’s goal is to inspire at least 2,000 people (hopefully more) to commit to give away one item a day for 29 consecutive days and share how the experience impacts their life. After this fight I am sold. I signed up!

Here are the “rules”. The 29 gifts can be anything. Some examples are food, old sweaters, smiles, your time, a kind word or thought and yes even money.

Are you going to join us? If you are interested in the art of giving and feeling the abundance go to http://www.29gifts.org

Once you sign up for the 29-Day Giving Challenge you can share stories, video, photos or audio about your giving experiences.

And in the spirit of giving……PASS THIS EMAIL ON!!  Help promote the 29-Day Giving Challenge. Send it to friends & family. Post a link on your website, blog or e-newsletter and help spread the word. VISIT http://www.29gifts.org today to join in the fun!

And ya know what? I feel so much better after sharing my experience and about this 29 day challenge. Perhaps that’s my first giving. The giving of myself and my feelings. How refreshing.

With love, appreciation and health,

PS Cami wanted to share her story about her experience at Fruition, how her life changed and the 29 day challenge was born!

I met Darshana five years ago when I showed up at one of her yoga classes. My life started to change the instant we met. At the end of class she mentioned that she was teaching a workshop on "Sugar Blues" to help people overcome sugar cravings.

At this point in my life, I was in the early stages of healing an addiction to drugs and alcohol and was noticing that though I'd removed those dangerous substances from my daily life, food was becoming a serious problem. I had gained 30 pounds in six months and was binge eating sugar and refined carbs like a crazy woman. I was becoming a total food fiendand felt completely out of balance emotionally and physically.

I showed up for Darsh's sugar workshop and then signed up for her five-month counseling program. I was amazed at how quickly things began to shift. In the beginning, Darsh told me I could eat anything I wanted, any time I wanted to... as long as I added two things to my diet each day. She had me add one cup of any whole grain I liked best (brown rice was what I picked most days) and between 1-2 cups of green vegetables. She had to teach me how to make the rice because up until that point I honestly didn't realize there was another kind of rice besides instant. She also taught me a few very quick and easy recipes for dark, leafy greens to help me learn to like veggies.

Within a week of adding these two things to my diet, I noticed a significant decrease in my sugar cravings and found that I wasn't feeling obsessed with bagels, pasta and cereal. The great thing is the shift happened very organically. I just woke up one day and started my day without the bagel. I cut coffee out of my mornings in week two and felt just fine with it and have never felt the need to go back. I replaced the coffee with some great teas Darsh suggested.

Over the next five months, with Darshana's support, my life completely changed. My relationship with food and my body improved. I met some great new friends through Fruition, quit a job I had felt stuck in for several years and left an on-again, off-again deadend relationship with a man I had been torturing myself with for nearly a decade.

As soon as my five months ended I signed up for one of Darshana's Advanced Living Women's Groups and that's when my world opened up beyond my wildest dreams. I got inspired to start a new business called Creative Urge. I now mentor other women to help them launch wildly thriving businesses and soulful careers. The name for the business actually came to me during one of my Fruition women's groups and four of my first clients came from that group as well. Last year, my company helped over 30 women launch companies. I recently created the 29-Day Giving Challenge to encourage my friends, family, clients and hopefully many strangers to give back to our communities.

If I hadn't made the decision to sign up for the Fruition Women's Health Program, it's hard to say what my life would be like now. I'd estimate that, like my business, 70% of the great friends I have today came through Fruition connections. Today I'm married to an amazing man and am capable of true intimacy because I learned how to feel my feelings instead of stuff them inside with food. Today I'm living my dreams while I help other women do the same.

I'm not perfect today, but finally understand that perfection isn't necessary to live a happy and healthy life. Recently, I've been dealing with a pretty major health challenge and Darshana has once again been present to help support me through the sometimes overwhelming process of learning how to heal a serious illness using food and other natural treatments in addition to Western medicine. I have complete faith that with time my health will balance out again.

All of these change started with the simple choice to say "YES" to the Fruition Women's Health Program. I thank God I made that choice every day.

FRUITION WOMEN'S HEALTH SPRING CLEANSE

THE FWH 21 DAY SPRING CLEANSE
Taught by Darshana Weill. Founder of Fruition Health

It seems like it’s liver erupting season.
I swear. Everyone I know is feeling it.

The cleanse is the perfect way to detox the liver, clean the intestines, create balance and, do I dare to say, even shed a few pounds.

It will also support you to create a new and lasting relationship with food that will serve your health day after day.

When I lived in New York City my clients wanted to do a liver cleanse for spring time. Upon their request we all did a 4 week spring time cleanse.
It was great! And intense!

Over the years I developed a 21 day cleanse that is gentle yet very effective.

I do this cleanse each year with my clients, friends, friends of friends and students. Afterwards we feel rejuvenated, refreshed and ready for spring and summer.

And this year it's better than ever!!!
Once again we have revamped our book of recipes and cleanse outline.
AND
this year we are offering the cleanse in THREE locations…

San Francisco , Santa Cruz & a virtual cleanse (with tele-classes) for those of you who life far away from the Bay Area.
